16" Istanbul Agop Traditional Paper Thin Crash Cymbal

Product Description

The 16" Traditional Paper Thin Crash is a fully lathed crash cymbal from Istanbul Agop's classic Traditional Series. It delivers a warm, splashy response with a full sound and a quicker decay, ideal if you want an expressive crash that reacts instantly to your touch.

Traditional Series cymbals are completely lathed on top and bottom, producing rich and warm overtones with a highly musical presence. The series is available in weights ranging from paper thin to heavy, offering a wide array of choices to complement any style of music. This model is the lightest option, paper thin, giving a quick, open response with a shorter, full decay.

The low weight makes the cymbal respond immediately to light strokes, producing a splashy, warm sound without becoming aggressive. It suits players who want to vary their dynamics while still getting plenty of character even from soft playing.

Who It's For

A great crash for players in styles where nuance and quick response matter more than raw power. Jazz, acoustic settings, and any music where a warm, splashy crash with a shorter decay works better than a heavy, slow-decaying cymbal.
