The Evans EC2S is an easy-tuning, 2-ply drumhead with a built-in EC Control Ring that tames unwanted overtones without choking the tone. Compared to its predecessor, the EC2, the EC2S offers a more open sound in smaller sizes and better overtone control in larger ones. A solid choice if you want a head that's quick to tune and works well across the whole kit.
The Frosted coating gives a warmer, more matte feel compared to clear heads, which many players find more comfortable to play on. Thanks to the EC Control Ring, you rarely need extra muffling to get a clean sound – the head does much of that work for you right out of the box.
