16" Focus-X Coated With Power Dot, Aquarian
10-mil single-ply head with a built-in vented muffle ring. Cuts overtones while keeping fat tom tone and articulate snare response.
Product Description
The Aquarian Focus-X Coated with Power Dot is a 10-mil, single-ply drum head with a vented muffle ring built in under the head, just inside the hoop. The result is a fat tone on toms and a sensitive, articulate response on snare drums, with no external muffling needed.
The vented muffle ring sits hidden under the head's surface and works automatically: it removes unwanted overtones while preserving the head's core tone and body. That makes the Focus-X a great choice for close miking, both live and in the studio, since the mic picks up a focused, controlled sound straight from the head.
The head works equally well on toms and snares thanks to the built-in muffling, delivering fat low-end on toms and a clear, articulate attack on snares.

Also available as a Coated Reverse Power Dot version, for even more focus in the tone.
