16" Aquarian Focus-X - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Focus-X Coated is a single-ply, 10 mil drumhead with a vented damping ring built into the hoop area under the head. The design removes unwanted overtones without robbing the head of its fat tone. No external muffling needed.

• 10 mil single-ply head with Coated finish
• Vented damping ring hidden in the hoop area, under the head
• No external dampening required
• Fat tone on toms, sensitive and articulate response on snares
• Great for close-miking, live and in the studio

Sound and Response

The vented damping ring sits hidden under the head and does its job without choking the tone. On toms you get a fat, full sound without the overtones that would otherwise call for extra muffling. On snare drums the same construction gives a sensitive, clearly articulate response with good control even on lighter hits.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to skip Moongel and muffling gadgets while still keeping the overtones under control. Works just as well in the rehearsal room as for close-miking on stage or in the studio.

Also available as a Reverse Power Dot version for even more focus, for players who want extra dampening.
