16'' EQ4 Calftone, bastrumma, Evans
Modern head that looks and sounds like a traditional calfskin head, without the drawbacks.
Product Description
The Evans EQ4 Calftone is a synthetic 16" bass drum head that delivers the look and warm tone of a traditional calfskin head, combined with the reliability, fit and tonal range of a modern Evans 360 head. It can be used as both a batter and resonant head.
Calftone heads are made from 12 mil (0.012") Mylar blended with a unique material to achieve the warmth and clear tone of calfskin, without the drawbacks natural skins can bring in terms of moisture sensitivity and inconsistent fit. The result is a head that looks and sounds vintage but performs like a modern Evans head on stage and in the studio.
