16'' Emad Calftone, bastrumma, Evans
Synthetic bass drum head with the warm, open tone of calfskin, without the drawbacks. Works as batter or resonant head.
Product Description
The Evans Calftone is the synthetic alternative to traditional calfskin heads. You get the look and warm tone of a natural head, combined with the reliability and tonal range of a modern Evans 360 head. This 16" bass drum head gives you that vintage feel without the hassle of a real skin head.
- Warm, clear tone just like a genuine calfskin head
- Reliable fit and stability thanks to modern construction
- Can be used as both a batter head and a resonant head
The head is made from 12 mil Mylar blended with a unique material to achieve the warmth and clear tone associated with natural calfskin heads. This construction lets you skip the usual downsides of real skin heads, such as sensitivity to moisture and temperature, while keeping the sound character intact.
