16" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Crash Cymbal - Red

Product Description

The Color Sound 900 Red Heavy Crash, 16" from Paiste is a crash cymbal in red, built on the same foundation as the standard 900 series but finished with a colored coating that gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. Made from CuSn20 bronze, machine-made at its base and hand-hammered in the finishing stage. Works well both live and in the studio, across most genres and musical settings.

The cymbal has a heavy weight that gives medium to loud volume and a lively intensity to the attack. The stick sound is washy with plenty of underlying wash, and the integrated bell adds a distinct sound of its own when played. The overall character is warm, full and dynamic.

Color and series

Color Sound 900 is available in four bold colors: black, purple, red and blue. This version is red. At its core it shares the same construction and alloy as the rest of the 900 series, but the color coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound than the uncoated cymbals in the series.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a characterful crash with visual presence, without giving up a warm, full Paiste sound, whether you're playing live or recording in the studio.
