16" Paiste Color Sound 900 Crash Cymbal - Red

Product Description

16" crash cymbal from Paiste's Color Sound 900 series, finished in a bold red. Like the rest of the 900 series it starts out machine-made, then gets hand-hammered before the color coating is applied. The result is a slightly darker, more controlled sound than the standard series, with a warm, full and dynamic character that works equally well on stage and in the studio.

Sound Character

The sound is warm, full and dynamic, with a washy attack and lively intensity. Volume sits in the medium low to loud range, making it flexible across most musical contexts. The integrated bell adds a clear complement to the crash sound.

Construction

The cymbal is cast from CuSn20 bronze alloy and has a medium thickness. The initial machine-made stage is followed by hand-hammering, and it's the final color coating that gives the Color Sound 900 its slightly darker, more controlled sound compared to the standard 900 series.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to stand out visually without compromising on sound. Works well across all genres and settings, both live and in the studio.
