16" Paiste Color Sound 900 Crash Cymbal - Purple
16" crash cymbal from Paiste, Color Sound 900 Purple. Warm, full washy sound with a controlled character.
Product Description
A 16" crash cymbal from Paiste's Color Sound 900 series, finished in Purple. It shares its construction with the standard 900 series, but the colour coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. A good choice if you want a crash with character for both live and studio use.
Like the rest of the 900 series, the cymbal is first machine-made and then hand-hammered before the colour coating is applied. The alloy is CuSn20 and the weight is medium, giving a dynamic range from medium low to loud volume. The attack is washy with a lively intensity, and the cymbal has an integrated bell that adds further character to the sound.
Tonally it's described as warm, full and dynamic. A cymbal that works across all kinds of genres and musical contexts, on stage as well as in the studio.
