16" Paiste Color Sound 900 China Cymbal - Purple
16" China cymbal in purple, Paiste Color Sound 900. Warm, full sound with washy attack and trashy intensity.
Product Description
The Paiste Color Sound 900 Purple China is a 16" china cymbal built the same way as the standard 900 series, but finished in a bold purple colour. The colour coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound than the uncoated 900 series, with a warm, full and dynamic tone. Works well both live and in the studio, across all genres and musical settings.
- Warm, full and dynamic sound
- Washy attack with trashy intensity
- Integrated chick sound
- Medium bell
- Medium thin thickness
- Medium to loud volume
Construction and Sound
Like the rest of the 900 series, the Color Sound 900 Purple China is machine made in its first stage, then hand-hammered in the final step. The alloy is CuSn20. The colour coating makes the sound slightly darker and more controlled compared to the uncoated 900 series, while retaining the washy, trashy character china cymbals are known for.
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a distinct look on stage without giving up a usable, versatile sound in the studio or live setting.
