16" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Crash Cymbal - Blue

Product Description

Color Sound 900 Blue Heavy Crash is a 16" crash cymbal from Paiste's colorful Color Sound 900 series. At its core it's the same cymbal as the standard 900 series, but the color coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. It works well both live and in the studio, across genres.

The cymbal is made from CuSn20 bronze and goes through the same first production step as the rest of the 900 series: machine manufacturing. It's then hand-hammered as a finishing step, which together with the color coating shapes its character.

Sound and Feel

Paiste describes the sound as warm, full and dynamic. The stick response is washy with a lively intensity, and an integrated bell adds clarity in the mix. Volume-wise it sits in the medium to loud range, with a heavy weight. Plenty of punch, though slightly tamed compared to an uncoated 900 cymbal.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to stand out visually without compromising on sound, whether you're playing live or recording.
