16" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Crash Cymbal - Black

Product Description

The Color Sound 900 Black Heavy Crash is a 16" crash cymbal from Paiste's colorful Color Sound 900 series, made from CuSn20 bronze. The black coating gives the cymbal a slightly darker, more controlled sound than a standard 900 series cymbal, with a warm, full and dynamic character that works well both live and in the studio.

The cymbal is machine-made in its first stage, just like the rest of the 900 series, but hand-hammered in the final step. This gives it the series' characteristic sound profile with a darker touch from the black finish.

Sound and Feel

The attack is washy with lively intensity and medium to loud volume, thanks to its heavy weight. The bell is integrated into the cymbal's profile rather than a sharply defined element, contributing to the cohesive, full sound.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a crash cymbal that stands out visually without compromising on a usable, warm sound that works across most genres and musical contexts.
