16" Paiste Color Sound 900 China Cymbal - Black

Product Description

16" China cymbal from Paiste, part of the Color Sound 900 series in a black finish. Built on the same construction as the standard 900 series, but the color coating gives it a slightly darker and more controlled sound. Works well for both live and studio use across most genres.

• CuSn20 bronze alloy
• Machine-made, hand-hammered in the final step
• Medium thin weight
• Medium to loud volume
• Washy attack with trashy intensity
• Integrated chick sound and medium bell

Sound Character

The sound is warm, full, and dynamic. The color coating gives the cymbal a slightly darker and more controlled sound compared to the standard version in the 900 series, while retaining a washy attack character and trashy intensity in the tone. The bell has a medium character and contributes a clear, integrated chick sound on closing.

Construction

The cymbal is machine-made at its core, like the rest of the 900 series, but hand-hammered in a final step. This gives a sound character that differs somewhat from a fully machine-made cymbal, while the color coating further dampens and controls the sound.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to stand out visually with a bold-colored cymbal without compromising on a versatile, usable sound for both stage and studio.
