Product Description
The Remo Powerstroke 3 is a coated single-ply drumhead with a built-in dampening ring that keeps the tone focused and controlled right out of the box. It's a solid choice if you want fewer overtones without adding your own muffling.
The dampening ring sits on the underside of the head, around the edge, cutting down on the higher overtones that can otherwise make the sound unruly. The result is a warmer, more focused tone with plenty of punch in the attack. The coated surface also gives a slightly warmer, less bright tone than a clear head, and it works well with both sticks and brushes.
Powerstroke 3 is a batter head and works great on both snare drums and toms where you want control without losing body.
