Product Description

The Remo Pinstripe is a two-ply drum head that delivers a dampened attack, short sustain and a focused sound right out of the box – no extra muffling needed. That makes it a popular choice for both snare and toms, especially when you want control rather than long resonance.

The construction uses two thin film plies bonded together with a small air pocket at the edge. This naturally dampens overtones and gives a compact, punchy attack with shorter sustain than a single-ply head. The coated surface (the matte white coating) softens the attack a bit further and gives a warmer, less metallic tone – good for brush playing and lower dynamics.

Sound Character

You get a full but controlled sound: fewer ringing overtones, faster decay and clear attack. Useful when you want a studio-friendly, focused tone without adding muffling gel or rings.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a head that sounds good with minimal extra dampening – for studio recording, rehearsal or live use where you want control over the tone. Less suited if you're after an open, resonant head with long sustain.
