16" Meinl Classics Custom Trash China - Brilliant finish

Product Description

The Meinl Classics Custom 16" Trash China is a pressed cymbal in B10 bronze with cut-out holes for a short, dirty and explosive sound. It adds an extra layer of attitude to grooves and fills, with a bright tone that cuts clearly through the mix.

The Trash China design means the cymbal has cut-out holes, which shortens the decay and gives it the characteristic trashy, aggressive character that sets it apart from a standard china. The alloy is B10. 90% copper and 10% tin. And the cymbal is made with a hi-tech, computer-controlled process for consistent quality across the whole series. The Classics Custom series is complete with, among other things, crashes in sizes 14"–20" and the more unusual Trashcrashes, so this china can easily be expanded into a wider sound palette.

Sound Character

The tone is bright with a medium-to-high pitch. Sustain sits at a medium-to-high level, while the volume is medium but with a clear, brilliant "wash" that adds character rather than raw power. The surface has a brilliant finish.

Who It's For

Great for players in rock, pop, metal, fusion or studio settings who want to spice up a groove with a short, aggressive and slightly dirty accent without it taking over the whole mix.
