Classic Clear is Aquarian's best-selling head – a single-ply, medium-weight head that works equally well as a batter head or a resonant head. As a batter head it gives a wide-open, full sound with plenty of attack and sustain, and as a resonant head it delivers a warm, clean tone without choking the drum's resonance.

Construction

The head is built as a single 10 mil ply with Aquarian's Nu-Brite coating, making Classic Clear versatile enough to work in either role depending on where in the drum you mount it.

As a batter head

Classic Clear gives a wide-open, full sound with clear attack and generous sustain – a solid choice if you want to hear the drum's full dynamics without unnecessary muffling.

As a resonant head

The resonant head is often overlooked, but it has a major effect on the drum's tone. A poorly made or poorly tuned resonant head can kill the tone of the drum completely. Classic Clear instead gives a warm, clean tone and lets the shell's resonance come through instead of choking it.
