16" Meinl Byzance Crash Cymbal - Dark
16" Byzance Crash from Meinl, crash cymbal in the Byzance Dark series. Hand-hammered and unlathed, for a raw, earthy sound.
Product Description
The 16" Byzance Crash from Meinl is a crash cymbal in the Byzance Dark series, made from B20 alloy (80% copper, 20% tin) in Turkey.
Sound
The sound is short and dirty, considerably warmer than cymbals with a similar look. The clear dark attack gives a lot of musical range, with a warm dry sound character that has an earthy dark tone, short sustain and relatively low volume.
Construction
The cymbal is hand-hammered and has an unlathed top and bottom, with the Dark Finish. It is quality-controlled and finished in Germany.
Use
It suits studio and live situations, in genres such as Jazz, Fusion, World Music, Pop, Rock and Studio. Meinl describes it as an exciting cymbal with strong personality.
