16" Meinl Byzance Medium Thin Crash Cymbal - Brilliant
16" Byzance Brilliant Medium Thin Crash from Meinl. B20 alloy, hand-hammered, warm sound with medium sustain.
Product Description
A 16" crash cymbal from Meinl's Byzance series, made from B20 alloy with 80% copper and 20% tin. The cymbal is hand-hammered and hand-lathed on both the top and bottom, giving a warm, full sound with good dynamics.
Sound
The sound is warm with a round attack and controlled sustain. The volume and sustain sit at a medium level, which makes the sound warm rather than bright or aggressive.
Feel
You can control both the sound and the volume by how hard you strike the cymbal. This gives room to vary your expression depending on how you play.
Manufacturing
The cymbal is manufactured in Turkey and finished in Germany. It is hand-hammered and hand-lathed on both sides, which is part of how the Byzance series is made.
Use
The cymbal suits genres such as rock, pop, fusion and latin, among others.
