Sound Character

The B16MC-B offers a round attack with controlled sustain that never turns weak. The tone is warm and full with plenty of dynamics, letting you control character and volume through your touch.

Construction

The cymbal is made at Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional craftsmanship. Each cymbal is cast from B20 alloy (80% copper, 20% tin), heated, rolled and cooled according to a carefully proven schedule until the correct thickness is reached. The bell is formed and the cymbal is hand-hammered into shape, and in the Brilliant series the surface is hand-lathed before the cymbal is sent to Germany for quality control, sorting and finishing such as laser logo, brilliant finish and sandblasting. It's this combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control that gives Byzance its warm, consistent sound.

Who It's For

A great crash for players working across genres who want a warm, controllable tone rather than a hard, aggressive attack.
