16" Evans EQ3 Resonant - Smooth White
Evans EQ3 16" resonant head in Smooth White with wide bearing edge, built-in muffle ring and Level 360 for a fuller sound and easy tuning.
Product Description
The Evans EQ3 Resonant 16" is a front bass drum head designed for Compakt kits with traditional BD hoops (wide bearing edge). It features a built-in muffle ring for a rounder, fuller sound, and Evans' Level 360 technology for fast, easy tuning.
- 7 mil thin white film in Smooth White finish
- Built-in muffle ring for a rounder, fuller sound
- Level 360 construction for easy tuning
- NP (No Port). No hole in the front head
- Wide bearing edge for Compakt kits with traditional BD hoops
Level 360
Level 360 is Evans' designation for the head's shape, which makes it significantly easier to tune than many other heads. It seats flat against the drum's shell right away, delivering good tone from the start. Without the break-in period other heads can need.
Wide or narrow bearing edge
This version, BD16RSW-NP, has a wide bearing edge for Compakt kits. The same head is also available with a narrow bearing edge as TT16SWP-NP, made for traditional tom hoops (for example, Tama Metro-Jam kits through 2014).
Who It's For
A good choice if you want a resonant head that's easy to tune and delivers a round, full bass drum tone without a port hole in the front.
