16" Paiste 2002 Power Crash Cymbal

Product Description

16" Power Crash from Paiste's 2002 series, made from CuSn8 alloy (also known as "2002 Bronze"). A powerful crash cymbal with high projection, suited for everything from classic rock to modern metal, on stage and in the studio.

Paiste 2002 has defined the sound of generations of drummers since the series launched in the early 1970s, and today's cymbals are still built on the same classic foundations. It fits most musical settings where you need a clear, powerful crash that cuts through.

Sound and Feel

The sound is described as brilliant, clear, warm, strong, musical and very precise, with a high energy level and powerful projection. The attack is fairly washy with a lively intensity, and the cymbal has an integrated bell. The weight is heavy, giving a volume range from medium to very loud.

Uses

The 2002 Power Crash works for music from medium-soft to loud, live and in the studio. It's a natural fit for classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, gospel and a range of related subgenres.

Who It's For

Suited for players who want a powerful, projecting crash with clear character for heavier genres, but that also works well in more classic rock settings.
