The Paiste 2002 China is a 16" china cymbal from the legendary 2002 series that has defined the sound of generations of drummers since the early days of rock. It's still made according to the foundations of the original classic cymbals and works in most musical settings where you want a bright, powerful attack with strong projection.

Sound Character

The 2002 China is cast in CuSn8 alloy, also known as "2002 Bronze", which gives it a strong, musical and very precise character. The stick attack is fairly trashy with lively intensity, and the edge delivers a distinct, powerful sound that cuts through even in loud settings. The bell is integrated into the cymbal, adding another register to play on.
