15" Aquarian Studio-X - Coated
Single-ply coated head with light internal damping that tames overtones while keeping the drum's natural warmth.
Product Description
The Aquarian Studio-X 15" is a single-ply, coated drum head with a thin internal damping ring. The damping is subtle but enough to remove much of the overtone content, while keeping the drum's open sound and warmth intact. A great choice for studio environments and close miking.
The head is built from a transparent 10 mil film with a coated surface, giving a warm, airy fundamental tone without excessive ringing. The internal damping does its job without choking the drum's character. You still hear the drum's own voice, just more focused.
Who It's For
Studio-X is especially suited for recording and close miking, where controlled overtones make mixing easier without sacrificing a natural sound.
