15" Evans Hydraulic - Red
Two-ply oil head in red translucent film. Open attack and fat, compressed tone. Straight from the 70s.
Product Description
The Evans Hydraulic Red is a two-ply oil head with a red translucent film and small oil droplets between the plies, giving control and a short, full sound. It has a slightly more open attack and more energy than its siblings Hydraulic Glass, Blue and Black, while keeping the same fat, compressed tone even when tuned low and loose.
Tone Character
Each film in the Hydraulic series has its own character. Red Hydraulic stands out with a more open attack and extra energy on impact, while the tone itself stays tight and compressed. The head delivers a clear, punchy sound even in a fingertight tuning, making it a reliable choice when you want control without sacrificing fullness.
The gold logo is a nod back to the glitter and glamour of the 70s, but the sound is just as serious today as it was then.
Hydraulic Red is available in tom sizes from 6" to 20", as well as a bass drum head in 20" and 22".
