15" Evans Genera HD Dry - Coated

Product Description

The Evans Genera HD Dry is a dampened two-ply 15" head for tom or snare drum, built to deliver a full tone with controlled overtones. Thanks to the built-in muffling ring and Dry Vents, you get a focused sound right away, whether you're after a fat ballad snare or an aggressive metal snare tone.

The head is built from two layers of Mylar. A 7.5 mil inner ply and a 5 mil coated outer ply. Along with a 2 mil damping ring bonded to the underside. Around the edge you'll find precision-drilled Dry Vents, small holes that give the head more flexibility and balance while reducing overtones and adding fullness to the tone.

Level 360 Profile

The Genera HD Dry features Evans' Level 360 profile, which makes the head considerably easier to tune than traditional heads. The profile allows the head to sit flat against the drum's shell right from installation, so you get a great sound from the start without waiting for the head to "settle in".

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to dampen a tom or snare drum without losing fullness in the tone, and if you want to avoid tuning hassles.
