The Byzance Dark Hi-hat in 15" is hand-hammered in B20 alloy and gives a warm, dry sound character with an earthy dark tone. The cymbals have short sustain and relatively low volume, with a raw and dirty personality.

Material And Manufacturing

The cymbals are made from B20 alloy, 80% copper and 20% tin, and are manufactured in Turkey. They are quality-checked and finished in Germany before reaching the shop. The finish is called Dark Finish and has a raw, unlathed surface on both the top and bottom.

Sound and Feel

The sound is warm and dry with an earthy, dark tone and short sustain. The volume is relatively low, but the character is exciting with strong personality and a short, dirty sound. The stick attack is very clear, and the feel is raw and gritty, somewhat harder and sharper than the traditional series.

Use

The Byzance Dark Hi-hat works both in the studio and in live situations. It suits several styles of music, including jazz, fusion, world music, pop and rock.
