Product Description
Studio-X is a transparent single-ply, 10 mil drumhead with a thin internal muffling ring built in. The dampening is subtle but effective – it removes much of the overtone content while keeping the drum's open sound and warmth intact.
If you're recording or close-miking your kit, this head gives you control without sacrificing character. There's no need to add extra dampening to tame ring – it's already built into the head. At the same time, you keep the openness and warmth typical of a single-ply head, making Studio-X a solid middle ground between a fully open coated head and a heavily dampened double-ply head.
Especially well suited for studio use where you want overtone control without losing the drum's natural character, though it works just as well on stage.
