14" Paiste Signature Dark Energy Hats Mark I Hi-Hat

Product Description

14" hi-hats from Paiste Signature Dark Energy Mark I, forged from a proprietary bronze alloy and hand-crafted from start to finish by Swiss craftsmen. A dark, layered and full sound with clear control, projection and balance, for the drummer who wants personal character in their hi-hat sound.

The Signature Dark Energy series is Paiste's modern interpretation of traditionally hand-made cymbals, cast in the Proprietary Signature Bronze alloy. The series is built for musicians seeking control and balance rather than pure volume.

Sound Character

The sound is dark, layered, warm, crisp, rich and full, with particular focus on control, projection and balance. The stick attack is clear and the intensity sharp, with a medium-length bell. In terms of volume the hats range from soft to loud.

Construction

The top cymbal is medium thin and the bottom cymbal extra heavy, a combination that gives the hi-hats weight in the bottom and sensitivity in the top.

Who It's For

Suits playing styles such as jazz, fusion, progressive rock, blues rock and funk, for those who want a hi-hat pair with personal character rather than a neutral standard sound.
