16" Paiste Swiss Flanger Stack Cymbal Stack

Product Description

The PST X Swiss Flanger Stack is an effects cymbal from Paiste, built to add an extra layer of character to your cymbal setup. The stack features an integrated bell and delivers a trashy, exotic stick sound suited for pretty much any musical context where you want to spice up your sound.

The PST X series is known for offering many different types of effects cymbals at a good price, and this Flanger Stack model is a great example: a cymbal with a distinct personality rather than a traditional crash or ride character.

Sound Character

Paiste describes the sound as effective, trashy and exotic depending on how it's combined in the setup. The stick sound is washy, meaning there's a clear underlying wash left after the stick attack, and the intensity is lively. Volume sits in the medium low to medium loud range, making it easy to control in the mix without disappearing.

Construction

The cymbal is made from a combination of CuSn20 bronze, MS63 brass and aluminum. Thickness is medium thin on top and thin on the bottom, contributing to the fast, washy attack. The bell is integrated into the construction.

Who It's For

Great for players who want to build a more personal and varied cymbal setup and are looking for an effects cymbal beyond the classic crash and ride.
