Product Description
The Performance II Clear With Power Dot is a two-ply drumhead from Aquarian, built for low-tuned toms with a fat, powerful tone. The construction keeps the focus on low frequencies and delivers loads of punch – the kind of sound you know from classic rock records.
Construction
The head is made using Aquarian's "Vacuum Tuned Process", which eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles between the two plies during manufacturing, giving a more even, consistent head. The two 7 mil plies are sealed only at the edges, which curbs unwanted overtones and keeps the focus on low, full frequencies rather than a bright, ringing tone.
The head also features a Power Dot – a reinforcement patch on the striking area that adds extra attack and durability, matching the head's powerful character.
Sound Character
PFII is designed for low tuning and delivers the fattest possible tone with serious punch on toms. It can make a cheap or small drum kit sound big and mighty – an easy way to lift the sound of a kit without replacing it.
