Craftsmanship

The Byzance series is made using traditional craftsmanship at Meinl's Turkish factory. The bell is shaped before hand-hammering gives the cymbal its final form, and models with a lathed surface are hand-lathed afterward. The raw cymbals are then sent to Meinl's German factory for quality control, sorting and finishing.
