Product Description
Evans Glass 500 is the thickest snare-side head in the Glass line, built for louder musical settings and deeper snare drums. It delivers a lot of core and volume, though it makes the snare wires slightly less sensitive than a thinner snare-side head.
This is a good choice if you play hard or use a deeper snare drum and want a solid, full underlying tone without the snare wires reacting too readily to surrounding sound. The extra thickness makes the head more resistant and gives a firmer, more controlled response — at the cost of some of the sensitivity a thinner snare-side head offers.
