14" Evans Heavyweight Dry
Evans B14HWD is a 14" snare drum head with 2 plies of 10 mil film and 3 mil reinforcement, Dry Vents and Reverse dot finish.
Product Description
Evans Heavyweight Dry is a snare drum head built from 2 plies of 10 mil film with 3 mil reinforcement. It has Dry Vents and a Reverse dot finish on the underside, giving a full sound with a fat attack.
Construction
The head is built from 2 plies of 10 mil film together with 3 mil reinforcement. Dry Vents reduce overtones and sustain. The Reverse dot finish sits on the underside of the head. The head has Level 360 shape, which means it sits flat against the drum's shell and becomes easy to tune.
Sound
Heavyweight Dry gives a full sound with a fat attack. The head sits flat against the drum's shell and delivers sound straight away on impact.
Feel
The playing feel is stable and the head responds even to lighter playing such as ghost notes. It is an allround head that holds up to hard hitting.
Tuning
The head works well tuned low without losing character, and can also be tuned high without becoming dead.
