14" Paiste Color Sound 900 Sound Edge Hi-Hats - Red

Product Description

A 14" hi-hat from Paiste's Color Sound 900 series, here in a striking red finish. Built on the same construction as the standard 900 series, the color coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. Works equally well on stage and in the studio, across most musical genres.

• Warm, full and dynamic sound
• Bright chick sound with clear stick attack
• Lively intensity with medium to loud volume
• CuSn20 alloy for classic Paiste character
• Machine-made base, hand-hammered in the final step

Construction and Sound

Color Sound 900 cymbals start out machine-made, just like the standard 900 series, but are hand-hammered in the final stage. The color coating gives the sound a slightly darker, more controlled character compared to an untreated 900 cymbal, without losing the warmth and fullness of the tone. The alloy is CuSn20. The top cymbal has a medium thickness while the bottom cymbal is medium heavy, giving a clear stick attack and lively intensity with medium to loud volume. The chick sound is bright and distinct.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a hi-hat that stands out visually without compromising on a usable, versatile sound for stage and studio work, across most musical contexts.
