14" Paiste Color Sound 900 Sound Edge Hi-Hats - Black

Product Description

14" Color Sound 900 Black Sound Edge Hi-Hat from Paiste, with black color coating and a warm, full and dynamic sound. The cymbals are machine-made through the same first stage as the regular 900 series, then hand-hammered, and the color coating gives them a slightly darker and more controlled sound than the standard 900 series.

• Clear stick definition and lively intensity
• Bright chick sound when closing the hi-hat
• Medium to loud volume
• Works for live and studio use, across genres and musical settings

Sound and Feel

The sound is warm, full and dynamic, with a clear attack and a bright, distinct chick sound. The color coating gives it a somewhat darker and more controlled character compared to the regular 900 series. The top cymbal is medium thickness and the bottom is medium heavy, a combination that shapes the hi-hat's character in both open and closed positions.

Construction

The alloy is CuSn20 (bronze), the same as used across the 900 series. The surface is machine-formed and then hand-hammered, and the colored coating is what sets Color Sound 900 apart from its uncoated 900 series siblings sonically.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want to stand out visually without compromising on a versatile hi-hat sound for rehearsal, stage and studio alike.
