14" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Hi-Hats - Black

Product Description

The Color Sound 900 Black Heavy Hi-Hat from Paiste is a 14" hi-hat pair with a black finish, made from CuSn20 bronze. The cymbals are machine-made at their core but hand-hammered in the final stage, and the color coating gives them a slightly darker and more controlled sound than the standard 900 Series.

• Warm, full and dynamic sound
• Powerful stick attack with lively intensity
• Full chick sound
• Volume from medium to very loud
• Heavy top / heavy bottom weight
• Works for both live and studio, across all genres

Sound Character

The sound is warm and full with clear dynamics. The attack is powerful and intense, and the chick sound is full and defined when the pedal closes. Thanks to the heavy weight on both the top and bottom cymbal, the volume sits in the upper range, from medium to very loud, keeping the pair audible even in demanding musical settings.

Construction

The cymbals are cast from CuSn20 bronze and machine-processed at the core, then finished with hand hammering. The black color coating is not just cosmetic. It slightly dampens and controls the tone compared to the untreated 900 Series, giving a more focused sound without losing fullness.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to stand out visually without compromising on sound. Works well for both live performance and studio work, across genres, and suits players who want a powerful, controlled hi-hat sound in a bold color.
