Evans UV1 is a single-ply drumhead built to combine a wide tonal range with the best durability you'll find in this type of head. The patented UV coating creates a fine-grained surface that, together with the 10 mil film, delivers a dynamic sound with a bright top end and a full bottom. UV1 also features the Level 360 profile for a better fit, a wide tuning range, and easier tuning.

Sound Character

Played softer and off-center, UV1 shows nice overtones with a clear identity. Hit harder and the tone rounds off, starting to resemble a two-ply drumhead – despite UV1 being single-ply. That makes it unusually versatile for its type.

Tuning Range

UV1 works well across a range of tunings. Tuned low, the response softens with good bottom end and body. Tuned high, the tone becomes tighter with a firmer response and a full core. The Level 360 profile gives a good fit, a wide tuning range, and makes the head easy to tune.
