The Aquarian Classic Clear Gloss Black 14" is a medium-thickness single-ply head that works equally well as a resonant or batter head on toms. As a batter head it delivers a wide-open, full sound with plenty of attack and sustain, while as a resonant head it gives a warm, clean tone without choking the drum.

Resonant heads are often overlooked, but they have a major impact on the overall tone of the drum. A poorly built or poorly tuned bottom head will kill the tone of the drum no matter how good the batter head is. Classic Clear is built from Aquarian's Nu-Brite material at 10 mil thickness, giving enough body for an open, dynamic sound without becoming thin or uncontrolled.
