Sound Character

Byzance Traditional is known for its warm, full tone with excellent dynamic range. As a medium/all-round hi-hat, it works equally well in soft, nuanced playing and louder, more powerful settings, making it a dependable choice across styles.

Construction and Manufacturing

Each cymbal is cast from B20 alloy and goes through Meinl's traditional process: heating, rolling and cooling to a carefully tested schedule before the bell is shaped and hand-hammering begins. The top and bottom are then hand-lathed. Manufacturing takes place at Meinl's Turkish factory, while quality control, sorting and finishing are handled in Germany. A combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control behind the Byzance series' warm sound and consistent standard.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a versatile hi-hat with a warm character and solid dynamic control, whether you play rock, pop, blues or fusion.
