14" hi-hat from Paiste's 900 Series, made from the same CuSn20 alloy as Paiste 2002. The cymbals are first shaped by machine and then finished with hand hammering, giving well-built, great-sounding cymbals at a good price.
The 900 Series works well both live and in the studio, across virtually every genre and musical context. The sound is warm, full and dynamic, with a controlled attack and a clear chick sound when closing the hi-hat with the pedal.
Construction
The top cymbal is medium thickness while the bottom is heavy, a combination that gives a medium low-to-loud volume and a fairly lively intensity.
