Evans UV2 Coated is a double-ply drum head built to handle hard playing without losing its voice. The patented UV-processed coating makes it one of the most durable coated heads on the market, while the fine-grain surface delivers a dynamic sound with a bright top end and a full low end.

Construction and Tone

The head is built from two 7 mil plies, for a total of 7+7 mil film. The combination of the thick double film and the new UV coating produces a head that can take hard hits without sacrificing tone – the top end stays bright and the low end stays full.

Fit and Tuning

Thanks to the Level 360 profile, the head seats evenly around the entire bearing edge, giving it a wide tuning range and making it easier to tune correctly. This also helps the head hold its tuning better over time.
