13" Evans Reso7 - Coated
Resonant head with a single layer of 7 mil coated film for controlled sustain and an open tone.
Product Description
The Evans Reso7 is a 13" resonant drum head built from a single layer of 7 mil coated film. It's designed to give controlled sustain without the tone turning dead or muddy, resulting in an open sound with a slightly shortened, well-controlled decay.
Tone and function
The Reso7 film acts like a soft gate on the tone: the drum keeps an open character while sustain is trimmed down and kept under control compared with a standard thin resonant head. That makes it a strong choice if you want a lively tom sound that doesn't ring on for too long.
Level 360 profile
The head is built with Evans' Level 360 profile. The shape allows the head to sit flat against the drum shell from the start, making it noticeably easier to tune than traditionally shaped heads. There's no critical break-in period before the head settles in. The sound is there right away.
Reso7 with the Level 360 profile is available in sizes from 6" to 18", so a whole tom set can get matching resonant heads.
