The Aquarian Modern Vintage Medium 13" is a medium-weight single-ply head with a special coating that not only looks like calfskin, but also delivers a low, warm tone with a soft playing feel. Unusually versatile, it works well on both toms and snares in this size, and equally well as a batter head on top or a resonant head underneath.
The head is built as a 10 mil (10 thousandths of an inch) single ply, but the coating itself is slightly thicker than on most other heads.
