The Hi-Performance Snare Resonant is a crystal-clear, ultra-thin snare-side (resonant) drumhead from Aquarian in 13", designed to sit beneath the snare drum where the snare wires make contact. It's built to deliver crisp snare response without sacrificing durability at the point where it's stressed the most.

At just 3 mil (thousandths of an inch) thick, the head gives a fast, open and articulate snare response. Exactly what you want from a resonant head of this type. The catch with such thin heads is usually premature failure, especially where the snare wires contact the head.

Aquarian has solved that with a protective strip placed exactly where the snare wires measure the head. If a snare wire breaks, that's often where damage starts. The reinforcement takes the wear and lets the head last considerably longer than an unprotected thin head would.
