13" Evans UV1 Reversed Dot - Coated

Product Description

The Evans UV1 Coated Reversed Dot is a 13" snare drum head with a reinforcement dot on the underside for extra durability during hard playing. It's designed to combine a wide, dynamic tonal palette with what Evans calls the most durable single-ply head on the market. A solid choice if you want a head that lasts without losing character.

• Patented UV-processed coating for a consistently smooth, fine-grained surface
• Single-ply construction using a unique, durable 10 mil film with a 3 mil reinforcement dot underneath
• Dynamic, open tone with a bright top end and warm low end
• Exceptional durability, suited to a wide range of musical settings
• Level 360 profile for a precise fit, wide tuning range, and easy tuning

Tone and Feel

Played softer and slightly off-center, the UV1 delivers clear, distinct overtones. Hit harder, the sound rounds out and the attack starts to resemble a two-ply head. Tuned low, the attack is softer with a low end that still cuts through the mix. Tuned high, the tone becomes more focused with a firm attack and a full core.

Construction

Built from a unique, durable 10 mil film with a 3 mil reinforcement dot on the underside to handle heavy playing. The patented UV-processed coating provides a consistently even, high-quality surface. Level 360 technology ensures a precise fit against the hoop, a wide tuning range, and heads that are easy to tune.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a single-ply head that lasts, while still delivering an open, dynamic tone whether you tune low or high.
