13" Evans UV1 - Coated
13'' Coated UV1 drumhead from Evans, a single-ply head of 10 mil film with UV-processed coating.
Product Description
The Evans 13'' Coated UV1 is a single-ply drumhead made of 10 mil film with a patented UV-processed coating. It is built on Level 360 Technology for good fit and tuning range.
Sound
The head gives a dynamic sound with a brilliant top end and a full bottom end. The tone is open with a good top end and a warm bottom end.
Feel
Played lightly off-centre, you get nice overtones with a clear identity. Play harder and the attack becomes rounder, reminiscent of a two-ply head.
Tuning
Tuned low, the head gives a softer attack with a good bottom end and good carrying power in the sound. Tuned high, the sound becomes more focused with a firm attack and a full core.
Construction
Level 360 Technology is behind the head's fit and makes it easy to tune. The head suits many musical contexts.
