The Remo Ambassador Classic Fit is a coated 13" drum head built specifically for older, vintage drum shells. Its narrower flesh hoop and steeper angle let it fit shells that aren't perfectly round or that carry thicker wrap, without requiring a hoop change.
Vintage drums built before the 1960s were often made to different dimensions than today's standard shells, which can make modern heads fit poorly. The Ambassador Classic Fit addresses this with a construction that uses a slightly narrower flesh hoop and a steeper angle. This increases the head's inner diameter while keeping the outer diameter unchanged, so you can keep using your existing hoops.
Built for older shells
