Evans Calftone is the synthetic alternative to traditional calfskin heads. It gives you the beautiful look and warm sound of a natural skin, combined with the reliability, fit and tonal range of a modern Evans 360 head. This head can be used as either a batter head or a resonant head.
Construction and Sound
Calftone is made from 7 mil mylar blended with a unique material to achieve the warmth and clear tone of a natural calfskin head, without the tuning stability and humidity issues that come with real calfskin. The result is vintage-style tone with the consistency of a modern synthetic head.
