12" Aquarian Super-2 - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super-2 Coated is a two-ply tom head built for plenty of attack, projection and depth, delivering a full, controlled tone. It's a great fit for rock and metal, where a powerful, direct attack is what you're after.

The head combines two plies of mylar, 7 mil and 5 mil respectively. Aquarian's "Vacuum Tuned Process" presses the plies together without trapping air between them, giving a fuller tone than a standard two-ply head. The coated surface adds a warmer, slightly darker tonal character.

Construction

The patented Safe-T-Loc ring keeps the head seated in the hoop and prevents slipping during hard playing. The Sound Curve edge is shaped to give what Aquarian calls "Responsive Tuning". A more even response across the tuning range.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a two-ply head with plenty of power and a clear attack, rather than a bright, open single-ply head. Suits players in heavier styles who need a head that can take a beating.
